You do not need to purchase any software to complete the course. You may use trial versions (details below). You will need access to reliable internet. The course can be accessed on tablets, smartphones and personal computers. However, you will need access to a computer for working on the deliverables: • MS Excel and Word for the design docs and storyboards. If you do not have an MS Office subscription, you may opt to use Google Docs and Sheets. • A trial version of Articulate 360. (Free trial available for 30 days, no credit card required.) • If you wish to dabble in visual design yourself during your portfolio project, you may use the trial versions of: • Vyond for animated videos (free trial available for 2 weeks) • Canva (30 days) if you wish to explain your visual ideas to the design team. These, however, are not necessary and depend entirely on how much you want to try by yourself.

ID Prodigy is a 12-step simulated journey that covers all aspects of creating a Learning Solution. You will: 1. Analyse given pieces of content. 2. Define the learning objectives for an intended target audience (TA). 3. Understand how content selection and treatment differs for different intended TA and their learning objectives. 4. Deconstruct an instructional design document. 5. Create your own design and a detailed content outline for a chosen topic. 6. Create a storyboard. 7. Liaise with the media team to create the graphics and animations for your topic. 8. Review the media work and communicate the fixes required. 9. Create a mini-game in Articulate Storyline. 10. Rapid prototype in Articulate Rise. 11. Seek feedback on the course from your cohort, SME, and TGP’s team of learning designers. 12. Analyse the feedback and present your learnings: highlights of your module and improvements. At the end of this course, you will have a portfolio for future employers/stakeholders. You would also have gained practical working knowledge of an entire project lifecycle, something very few instructional designers are privileged to be a part of.

The general timeline to complete the course is three months. However, your timeline depends on your current skill level, your availability, and your ability to apply feedback. Some may complete the course in half of the time, and some might take twice as long. Your pace is up to you.

You should set the pace based on your availability. Committing an hour or two every week would be good practice. Some may spend 1-2 hours per week on their projects; others may be at liberty to treat the course as a full-time commitment. Whatever pace you decide, TGP’s team has your back! We help you achieve your goals irrespective of how slow or fast you choose to go.

Once you join the course, your access does not expire. You may refer to the content for as long as you require. You will get access to all future content updates to the course.

There are three components to the feedback, support and mentorship you receive in ID Prodigy: • Peer-to-peer learning: You'll receive feedback and support by asking questions in our private forums. Towards the end of the course, you will also receive feedback on your prototype from your cohort, TGP’s team and the SMEs. • Team interactions: You will receive two to three rounds of professional reviews on each of your deliverables so that you can truly enhance your output. • Mentorship: For further clarifications and guidance, we will provide mentorship as and when required via emails or an invitation to a 1-on-1 meeting.

You will receive personalised feedback on your course deliverables as and when you submit them. Once you complete the course and make your final presentation, you may wish to extend the mentorship programme for an annual fee of $1000.
